Pop bottle jellyfish

"Ingredients"

* An empty 1 litre pop bottle (or bigger, try experimenting with different size bottles)
* 50 cm strips of material, net, ribbon, anything you can find really... (strips of cut up plastic bags? worth a try...)
* A pair of scissors.
* A hole punch (failing that a pair of scissors, but be really careful!)
* Plain stickers and pens, or paper and sticky tape, or bottle lids... basically anything that could be eyes and something to stick it on with...

I

 1. Take the pop bottle ....

...and measure up about 15 cm from the bottom of the bottle and cut through, this will leave you with something resembling a beaker. Smooth around the edges (or make them wobbly, up to you really) . Then using the hole punch, evenly space about 7 or 8 holes ( or stab with the scissors...BUT REALLY CAREFULLY!, In fact, invest in a hole punch, they are like, £1 and are really useful and far safer than stabbing stuff with scissors)

2. Take your strips...

     ... of material, net ribbon, whatever you are using, and fold a piece in half.            Take the looped end and thread it through one holes.  Thread the ends of the       material through the loop and pull it tight.  These are the jelly legs, continue        around the bottle until you have filled all of the holes.  If you have gone with          more holes,you can create a wild crazy legs jelly fish!

3. Now for some eyes...

     ... this can be whatever you want, be it buttons, bottle lids, stickers... anything      you can find. Have a play with it, what looks best?

             And there you have a quick and simple Pop bottle jelly fish...

       Have a go and send us your pictures so we can add them to the gallery... try          using different size bottles, different materials, make a whole family of them.
